Job summary

ChildNet, Inc. in Fort Lauderdale, FL seeks a Dependency Case Manager to provide comprehensive case management for children and families involved in the dependency system, in collaboration with a primary case manager.

You will conduct home visits, coordinate services, prepare court reports, and promote safety and permanency. Requires a BSW or related field, Florida driver’s license, and the ability to obtain Child Welfare Certification within 1 year; travel about 25%.

Qualifications

• Two years in Human Services or Child Welfare programs.
• Bachelor’s degree in social work or related field.
• Must obtain Child Welfare Certification within 1 year and maintain.

Responsibilities

• Act as the courtesy worker for assigned cases, collaborating with the primary worker.
• Conduct home visits with children, parents and caregivers to assess safety and well-being.
• Engage families to achieve permanency goals as identified per case.
• Identify medical, dental, educational, and mental health needs for children.
• Prepare detailed reports for the primary case worker to support court filings.
• Ensure court orders are followed in all cases.
• Maintain up-to-date case files and notes in the system.
• Develop relationships with clients and stakeholders; respond to concerns promptly.
• Gather information to support case planning and court decisions.
• Operate own vehicle safely for client visits and safety.
