Job summary

ChildNet, Inc. is seeking a Dependency Case Manager to provide comprehensive case management services to children and families involved in Florida's dependency system, collaborating with the primary case manager to promote safety, permanency and well-being.

The role involves home visits, coordinating services, preparing court reports, and maintaining accurate records. A Bachelor's degree in social work and a Florida driver’s license are required. Travel up to 25% is expected.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in Human Services or Child Welfare programs.
• Bachelor's degree in social work or related field required.
• Obtain Child Welfare Certification within 1 year and maintain on an ongoing basis.
• Valid Florida state issued driver’s license and insurance required.

Responsibilities

• Act as the courtesy worker for all assigned cases, conducting tasks with the primary worker.
• Conduct home visits with children, parents and caregivers to assess safety, permanency and well-being.
• Engage parents, caregivers, and children to achieve permanency goals as identified per case.
• Identify medical, dental, educational, and mental health needs for children; refer to relevant services.
• Prepare detailed reports to support the primary case worker’s judiciary reports and permanency goals.
• Ensure court orders are followed in all cases.
• Maintain case files and update case notes in the system of record.
• Develop and manage relationships with clients and stakeholders; respond to concerns promptly.
• Gather information to support case planning and court decision-making.
