At Home Group Inc. is seeking a Distribution Center Department Supervisor to lead teams, coordinate labor, and drive safety, quality, and productivity in a fast-paced distribution environment.

You will coach staff, manage shift coverage, and ensure accurate inbound/outbound handling while partnering with HR on performance issues. This role offers opportunities for growth within a dynamic retail logistics network.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a warehouse, logistics, or distribution center environment.
• 1+ year of leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of warehouse operations, safety, and labor management.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lead teams in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Responsibilities

• Operational Leadership & Goal Achievement: Coordinate with managers and cross-functional teams to meet productivity targets.
• Labor Planning & Resource Allocation: Plan and adjust labor resources to maximize throughput and minimize downtime.
• Training, Coaching & Performance Management: Provide ongoing training and daily coaching to team members.
• Safety Leadership: Ensure compliance with safety protocols and promptly resolve concerns.
• Attendance & Staffing Reliability: Monitor attendance and ensure dependable shift coverage.
• Team Engagement & Retention: Foster a positive, respectful work environment and reduce turnover.
• Cross-Functional Communication: Maintain clear communication across shifts and departments.
• Quality & Accuracy Oversight: Uphold high standards and implement corrective actions.
• Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement: Identify challenges and lead improvement initiatives.
• Shift Handoffs & Documentation: Ensure smooth transitions with clear status updates.
• Other Duties as Assigned: Take on additional responsibilities as needed.

The Distribution Center Department Supervisor is responsible for providing communication, leadership, direction, and timely information to both the associates and management team. This position maintains a high level of safety, quality and department morale. Responsible for employee work assignments.

Essential Functions

• Operational Leadership & Goal Achievement: Coordinate with managers and cross-functional teams to consistently meet or exceed productivity goals. Ensure alignment with production targets and efficiency metrics across assigned shifts and operational areas.
• Labor Planning & Resource Allocation: Effectively plan, allocate, and adjust labor resources to maximize throughput, minimize downtime, and maintain a consistent and efficient operational flow.
• Training, Coaching & Performance Management: Provide ongoing training, daily coaching, and timely recognition to ensure team members meet or exceed performance expectations. Address underperformance constructively and promptly, partnering with HR when appropriate.
• Safety Leadership: Foster a strong culture of safety with full compliance to all safety protocols. Promptly resolve safety concerns and maintain a low incident rate
• Attendance & Staffing Reliability: Monitor and support high levels of attendance and punctuality. Address attendance issues early and effectively to ensure dependable shift coverage and workflow continuity.
• Team Engagement & Retention: Promote a positive, respectful, and collaborative work environment. Build strong team engagement to reduce turnover, enhance morale, and encourage ownership at every level.
• Cross-Functional Communication: Communicate clearly and consistently with team members, peers, and leadership to ensure strong alignment across shifts and departments. Drive transparency, accountability, and operational coordination.
• Quality & Accuracy Oversight: Uphold high standards of quality and accuracy across all processes, including inbound, outbound, and inventory handling. Continuously monitor performance and implement corrective actions where needed.
• Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement: Identify operational challenges proactively, elevate issues appropriately, and lead initiatives to improve safety, efficiency, quality, and team performance.
• Shift Handoffs & Documentation: Facilitate smooth shift transitions through clear, timely documentation, status updates, and alignment on shift goals, metrics, and priorities.
• Other Duties as Assigned: Take on additional responsibilities as needed to support evolving business needs and leadership initiatives.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in a warehouse, logistics, or distribution center environment
• 1+ year of leadership or supervisory experience preferred
• Strong understanding of warehouse operations, safety standards, and labor management
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to lead teams in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Proficient in using warehouse management systems (WMS), Microsoft Office, and reporting tools
• Strong organizational and time-management skills with a continuous improvement mindset
• Must be able to read, write and communicate in English
• Ability to lift 75 pounds required
