Job summary

At Home Stores LLC in Plano, TX is seeking a Distribution Center Supervisor to oversee daily DC operations, drive safety culture, and optimize staffing to reduce costs. You will lead a team of Supervisors and frontline staff, ensuring policy compliance and continuous improvement across the distribution center.

The role requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and hands-on analytics with WMS/MHS/YMS systems; a flexible schedule and physical readiness are expected to meet business

Qualifications

Minimum of 4 years of experience in distribution leadership in a supervisory position.
Strong background in supply chain systems (WMS, MHS, YMS) and analytics.
Proven ability to engage, motivate and develop others.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills; proficiency in Excel.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Monitors and ensures shift KPIs for safety, culture, and operations.
Identifies and implements actions to improve DC safety, engagement, productivity and reduce expenses.
Leads 3-5 Supervisors and 100-150 team members/temp workers.
Implements company policies and ensures team member safety.
Optimizes staffing by area to maximize efficiency and reduce cost.
Oversees trailer yard operations to maintain fluidity and avoid detention fees.
Coaches, trains and develops distribution employees with real-time feedback.
Supports a team-oriented environment with a focus on engagement.

Job description

Monitors and ensures shift key performance indicators (KPI) are met to ensure required levels of safety, culture, operational efficiencies, and organizational objectives are met
Identifies and implements actions to improve DC safety, engagement, productivity and reduce overall expense
Leads 3- 5 Supervisors, as well as 100 - 150 Team Members/temp workers
Responsible for implementation of all company policies, procedures, and Team Member safety
Optimizes staffing by area to maximize efficiency and reduce cost
Identifies priority of trailer unloads to maximize efficiency and ensure detention fees are not incurred
Oversees DC trailer yard to ensure it remains fluid
Leads, coaches, trains, and develops all distribution employees by providing real time feedback and creating development plans
Supports a team-oriented environment with Supervisors and Team Members that fosters engagement

Qualifications & Competencies:

Minimum of 4 years of experience in distribution leadership in a supervisory position
Strong background in supply chain systems (i.e. WMS, MHS, YMS)
Demonstrated leadership ability, with the ability to engage, motivate, and develop others
Must possess good reasoning, conflict-management, employee relations, and analytical and problem-solving skills
Must possess outstanding communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
Ability to work a flexible schedule, as business requires
Ability to lift 50 pounds required
