Job summary

Quanex, a global manufacturing company, is seeking a Department Material Handler for 1st shift in Owatonna, Minnesota. You will move materials within the plant, stock finished goods, and support production by ensuring materials are available.

You will operate forklifts and pallet jacks, use RF scanners, and participate in quality checks. This role offers competitive hourly pay of $19.50 and benefits including 401(k) match, ESPP, PTO, and tuition support.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing operations is preferred.
• Forklift and other material handling experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receives and stocks finished goods.
• Store materials in designated locations, ensuring they are properly organized and accessible.
• Pull and package materials for delivery to various departments or workstations.
• Hooks and unhooks carts with hitch system.
• Scan finished goods and raw materials with RF scanner, verifying all information.
• Participate in quality control checks and ensure materials meet the required specifications.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.

Quanex is looking for a Department Material Handler - 1st shift to join our team in Owatonna, Minnesota!

1st shift hours are Monday – Thursday, 5:00am – 3:30pm.

In this role you are responsible for moving material within the plant and keeping designated work areas supplied with material using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
