Job summary

Quanex is seeking a Production Supervisor for the 2nd shift in Owatonna, MN. The role oversees direct reports, mentors staff, manages performance and supports continuous improvement initiatives including Lean, 5S and safety.

Typical schedule is Monday–Thursday, 3:30 pm to 2:00 am with overtime as needed. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred, with 5–7 years manufacturing experience and at least 3 years in supervision. Base salary ranges from $66K to $80K with bonus potential.

• Competent in Microsoft Office and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate new hire training and cross training with direct reports.
• Develop and train employees on Job Hazard Analysis (JHAs).
• Ensure quality products are delivered to customers and processes are followed.
• Support Production Supervisors across all shifts as a team player.
• Participate in safety committee, audits, and company safety objectives.
• Understand labor efficiency and help reach goals with sound business decisions.
