Buffalo Wild Wings is hiring a Department Manager at World Wide Wings, a franchisee overseeing 60 restaurants. You will lead department operations (floor, bar, kitchen or takeout) to ensure brand standards, guest satisfaction, and profitability in a fast-paced setting.

Expect to coach teams, manage staffing, and drive performance using GEM, QSCs and P&L insights while promoting growth and development opportunities for team members.

Responsibilities

• Lead and inspire Team Members to deliver top-tier service and unforgettable guest experiences.
• Coach, train, and develop the team; build an all-star lineup daily.
• Own execution across operations from guest engagement to quality, speed, and accuracy.
• Ensure a clean, safe, and compliant environment across all areas.
• Bring energy to promotions, local marketing, and guest engagement initiatives.
• Direct staffing, recruiting, hiring, orientation, training, and ongoing development of Department Team Members.
• Coordinate with other Department Managers on hiring decisions to support growth opportunities for Team Members.
• Create weekly department schedules within budgeted labor guidelines.
• Develop and implement incentive programs and contests for the department; motivate participation in promotions and incentives.
• Provide regular performance feedback and conduct performance appraisals and development plans.
• Assist General Manager with coaching managers on performance management procedures.
• Monitor training and ensure department modules are completed; support BAR, HOH, and Hospitality management as needed.
• Communicate effectively through departmental meetings and feedback programs (GEM, guest surveys, etc.).
• Ensure team members have current required training and permits; manage guest comment programs and respond to food quality concerns.
• Utilize performance measurement tools (GEM, QSCs, audits, P&L) to identify opportunities and implement action plans.

The role focuses on leading the Heart of House, Bar, or Hospitality departments, ensuring safe operations, quality, guest satisfaction, and profitability. The position involves working in a fast-paced restaurant environment with a strong emphasis on team leadership and development.

Quality & Operations

• Facilitate adherence to new food product rollouts; ensure serving standards and portion control.
• Coordinate with vendors and ensure timely delivery of quality products to specification.
• Ensure menu specs and department systems are used and adhered to.
• Oversee inventory, safety, sanitation, and compliance with health standards; address issues promptly.
• Monitor equipment and arrange repairs as needed; manage bar and food safety practices.

Sales & Profitability

• Manage food cost and labor within defined variance; order and maintain inventory levels.
• Develop projections and understand P&L; implement action plans for problem areas.
• Monitor bar costs, beverage inventory, and waste; drive sales-building initiatives and contests.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Solid understanding of restaurant operations, food safety, and responsible alcohol service.
• High school diploma (or equivalent) required; restaurant/leadership experience preferred.
• Team-first mindset with passion for developing people and building a positive culture.
• High energy and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
