Job summary

Mead & Hunt in Tampa seeks a collaborative Department Manager to lead the One Water Southeast team. You will guide a talented staff, strengthen client relationships, influence department strategy, and help expand our regional impact.

The role covers staff supervision, workload oversight, project management, business development, and coordination with the business unit leader on strategic planning. Travel is required, and a PE license plus a track record in AEC management are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• At least 5 years (10+ preferred) of experience in the AEC consulting industry.
• PE in any state with the ability to obtain in additional states within one year of selection/hire.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage department staff and performance.
• Oversee department workload, budgets, and proposals.
• Coordinate operations with business unit leaders and cross-department teams.
• Prepare scoping, pricing, and project plans; provide client presentations.
• Maintain licenses and stay current with technical and management issues.
