Job summary

Anchor Point Management Group in Eastvale, CA seeks a Department Manager to oversee HOH, Bar, and Hospitality operations with emphasis on staff development and guest experience.

You will recruit and coach team members, manage schedules and costs, and ensure compliance with food safety and responsible alcohol service while driving profitability and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in restaurant leadership roles and staff development preferred.
• Strong understanding of restaurant operations and guest service.

Responsibilities

• Lead staffing and development: recruit, interview, hire, orient, train, and coach team members.
• Plan and optimize shift schedules within labor guidelines and budgets.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, responsible alcohol service, and health regulations.
• Oversee inventory management, cost control, and supplier relations.
• Drive guest experience improvements through GEM, audits, and feedback programs.
• Lead in-house promotions and local marketing efforts to boost fan engagement.

Department Manager

Job Location: 12411 Limonite Ave Ste 650 – Eastvale, CA 91752

Salary Range: $22.10 – $25.75 hourly

Job Purpose

• Heart of House Department Manager – responsible for all food/product matters, staff planning, and development in the HOH area.
• Bar Department Manager – oversees adult beverage operations, inventory, and staff for the Bar.
• Hospitality Manager – manages restaurant dining room service and team development.

Key Responsibilities

• Staffing and Development
  • Recruit, interview, hire, orient, train, and develop department team members.
  • Maintain staffing levels in alignment with business review guidelines.
  • Provide performance feedback, conduct appraisals, and administer merit increases.
  • Develop action plans and coaching for direct reports.
• Operational Excellence
  • Plan and implement shift schedules within labor guidelines.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, responsible alcohol service, and health regulations.
  • Manage inventory, ordering, and cost control for food, beverage, and paper products.
  • Support General Manager to achieve profitability targets for labor, food, and beverage.
  • Address quality and guest experience issues through GEM, audits, and P&L analysis.
• Quality Operations
  • Lead new product rollouts and ensure adherence to recipes, portioning, and specifications.
  • Communicate opportunities and improvements to department and management teams.
  • Oversee equipment monitoring, repair scheduling, and safety compliance.
  • Maintain bar and HOH training certification and rotate WCTs appropriately.
• Sales & Profit Management
  • Maintain food and beverage cost within company variance limits.
  • Track labor efficiency and achieve SPLH targets.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly projections.
  • Implement incentive programs, contests, and cost‑saving initiatives.
• Guest Experience & Marketing
  • Oversee guest comment program and resolve food quality complaints.
  • Participate in local marketing, promotions, and fan‑engagement initiatives.
  • Lead in‑house promotions and build team culture through engagement.
