Job summary

You will lead staffing decisions, training, and development, promote a safe work culture, and model the Meijer Friendly Initiative in all team interactions. This role emphasizes customer focus, sales growth, and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or its equivalent.
• 2-3 years of related retail experience.
• One year of management experience.
• Rotational assignments in other store areas and customer service flow are helpful.
• Strong communication and conflict resolution abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and analyze sales data.
• Experience teaching suggestive selling and leading teams.
• Certifications completed as required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and supervise team members in daily store operations.
• Mentor and coach staff to achieve service and sales goals.
• Recruiting, staffing, and hiring to meet needs.
• Promote succession planning and development.
• Disciplinary actions and recommendations for discharge.
• Responsible for P&L, sales, and shrink control.
• Model exceptional customer service and Meijer initiatives.
• Ensure training completion and safety practices.
• Allocate time in-store to engage customers and team members.
