Responsibilities

  • Maintain payroll records daily and coordinate with managers.
  • Enter schedules and timesheets for Payroll Shared Services.
  • Assist Operations Manager with meetings, reports and emails.
  • Coordinate file storage and off-site archival processes.
  • Maintain production statistics and trend analysis data.
  • Assist with environmental, accounting and HR duties as needed.
  • Order and manage office supplies.
  • Submit service and equipment maintenance requests.
  • Serve as point person for plant engagement and social activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

Location: Monessen

The Department Administrative Assistant is responsible for administrative functions and analysis of data for safe and effective operation. This position also supports the Plant Staff and Operations Manager. We offer excellent compensation and benefits package and unlimited career advancement opportunities.

Summary of Responsibilities:
  • Maintains accurate and timely payroll records on a daily basis, and reports in close coordination with department managers;
  • enters schedules, timesheets and balances payroll for submittal to Payroll Shared Services.
  • Works closely with the Operations Manager to manage meetings, reports, emails, and other administrative needs
  • Coordinates file storage for staff members and send files to off-site location for storage
  • Maintains operating statistics – production rates, yields, costs/ton, usage, etc. for analysis of trends
  • Assists with Environmental, Accounting, and Human Resources duties as assigned
  • Ordering and maintaining office supplies
  • Responsible for entering service requests, printer maintenance and supply requests, for equipment throughout the plant
  • Serves as point person for plant engagement and social activities.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Experience working in an administrative capacity in a manufacturing/production environment.
  • Solid computer skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office products ("i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint").
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem solving and organizational skills
  • Office environment setting and periodically in an industrial setting
  • Must be able to wear required personal protection equipment (PPE) such as hard hats, safety glasses, goggles, hearing protection, and other PPE as required.
  • Duties require extensive manual dexterity in usage of computer terminal and keyboard, while sitting for long periods of time.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Secondary education from an accredited business school a plus.
