Job summary

GuidePoint Security is seeking a passionate Security Engineer to join our Heartland team in Denver, CO. You’ll leverage your network security foundation to solve real-world client problems and grow into a strategic advisor shaping security posture decisions.

You’ll work with Sales to scope solutions, deliver architectures, and produce security documentation while expanding knowledge across security domains and exploring AI tools to drive better outcomes.

Qualifications

• Hands-on network security experience with zero-trust, NGFW, AppID, micro-segmentation, secure access.
• Experience with Palo Alto Networks, Checkpoint, Fortinet security platforms.
• Troubleshooting methodologies for network security: firewalls, routing, NAT, VPN.
• Proficiency across Windows, macOS, Linux.
• Understanding of CISSP domains and security concepts.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a technical resource for Heartland region clients with hands-on support and design guidance.
• Collaborate with sales to scope solutions and present security architectures.
• Build deep expertise in network security platforms and translate capabilities into business outcomes.
• Develop trusted advisor relationships through empathy and clear communication.
• Produce clear documentation including security assessments and implementation guides.
• Expand knowledge across adjacent security domains toward becoming a security strategist.
