Job summary

GuidePoint Security is seeking a highly technical, customer-facing Security Architect (Presales) to join our Network & Data Security practice in the Northeast region.

This individual will act as the primary technical resource supporting the sales cycle — partnering with Account Executives to understand customer environments, design solutions, and demonstrate value across our network and data security portfolio.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in network and data security engineering or a related technical role.
• Strong knowledge of NGFW, SD-WAN/SASE, ZTNA, IDS/IPS, VPN, segmentation, DLP, data governance, CASB/DSPM.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills for technical and executive audiences.
• Must reside in the Northeast region and travel regionally (30–50%).
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in CS/InfoSec.

Responsibilities

• Lead as the technical resource in the sales cycle for network and data security opportunities.
• Conduct discovery sessions to understand architecture, posture, and drivers.
• Design and present tailored network and data security solutions with diagrams and proposals.
• Deliver product demonstrations, POCs, and workshops, virtual and on-site.
• Respond to RFPs/RFIs with accurate technical content and positioning.
• Build relationships with customer technical stakeholders and executives.
• Collaborate with product management, engineering, marketing, and delivery teams.
• Stay current on security trends and competitive landscape to maintain credibility.
• Represent GuidePoint at regional conferences and events.
• Support internal enablement and training on technical positioning.
• Embrace AI tools to improve problem solving and outcomes.
