Job summary

Cybersecurity Company is seeking a Network Security Engineer to join their federal presales engineering team. This role requires participation in the design and implementation of enterprise-class cybersecurity technologies with responsibilities including leading projects and investigating security incidents.

Applicants must possess an active TS/SCI clearance and experience with various cybersecurity tools. The company offers a remote workforce primarily, competitive medical and dental benefits, and a Flexible Time Off program.

Job description

GuidePoint Security is a leading cybersecurity solutions and services firm that partners with federal government agencies to deliver advanced network protection. We are expanding our federal presales engineering team and are looking for a highly skilled Network Security Engineer.

Location: 100% onsite at multiple government sites throughout the D.C. metro area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in the design, implementation, and sustainment of enterprise class cybersecurity technologies.
  • Plan and execute policy changes on next-generation firewalls.
  • Assist in analysis and design of a worldwide network security architecture.
  • Administer configuration changes on enterprise load balancers, including TLS inspection.
  • Lead special projects independently and as part of a team.
  • Investigate and document security-related incidents.
  • Implement corrective measures in response to emerging network security threats.
  • Brief senior leadership and government stakeholders on the enterprise network security posture.
Requirements
  • Active TS/SCI clearance (Polygraph preferred) required prior to starting.
  • Experience with Juniper SRX, Palo Alto, F5, Cisco FTD/ASA, Gigamon, FireEye, and RSA NetWitness.
  • DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (Security+ minimum).
  • Clearance requirement: active Top Secret with SCI clearance (Polygraph preferred).
