Scion Staffing, Inc. has been engaged to find an experienced Controller for a growing medical industry client.

This onsite Denver, CO role leads accounting operations, financial reporting, and tax compliance, partnering with executives and FP&A for planning, growth, and process improvements. The position requires CPA designation, extensive manufacturing/medical device experience, and strong NetSuite skills, with a base salary in the $170k–$200k range plus bonus potential and a comprehensive

Qualifications

• Active CPA designation required.
• Controller experience in manufacturing, medical device, DME, or related industry.
• Budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and department strategy experience.
• Strong leadership, analytical, problem-solving, presentation and communication skills; healthcare, revenue cycle, BI, or PE experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead accounting operations, including general accounting, payroll oversight, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, cash management, and financial reporting.
• Oversee monthly and quarterly financial close and reporting, analyze results, investigate variances, ensure accuracy.
• Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures, internal controls, and governance per US GAAP and regs.
• Lead revenue recognition under ASC 606, technical accounting, manufacturing/cost accounting, inventory reserves, and quarterly compliance.
• Manage external audits and tax compliance, liaising with independent auditors.
• Partner with leadership on budgeting/forecasting, cash flow analysis, financial modeling, process improvement, and team leadership.
