Job summary

Vans is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to lead a team of Brand Advocates in delivering exceptional customer experiences in a fast-paced retail setting. You will partner with the Store Manager to optimize profitability through engaging customers, merchandising, and operations while maintaining brand standards.

You will oversee hiring, training, and development, drive store KPIs, and ensure compliance with all policies.

Qualifications

2+ years of retail or store leadership experience in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred; hands-on experience valued.

Responsibilities

Lead, develop, and motivate a team of Brand Advocates to deliver best-in-class customer experiences.
Partner with the Store Manager to drive profitability through customer engagement, merchandising, operations, and community connection.
In the Store Manager's absence, assume full responsibility for the store.
Monitor progress against KPI targets and sales goals; coach the team to exceed goals.
Recruit, hire, and onboard high-caliber talent; provide ongoing training and feedback.
Ensure compliance with company policies and operational standards; manage expenses and control shrink.
Maintain visual merchandising standards and ensure timely product replenishment.
Foster accountability, creativity, and continuous improvement; promote an inclusive environment.
