Job summary

Independence Dental Services is seeking a Treatment Plan Coordinator to support patients through the planning and acceptance process. This role explains recommended plans, coordinates financial and insurance details, and assists with scheduling to ensure patients feel informed and confident in their care decisions.

The Coordinator works closely with providers, front-office staff, and the Office Manager to maintain accurate documentation, clear communication, and a consistent patient experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in a dental or healthcare office is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of dental terminology, procedures and insurance processes.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-first mindset.
• Proficiency with dental practice management software and Microsoft Office.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Present dental treatment plans clearly and professionally to patients.
• Educate patients on procedures, timelines and expected outcomes.
• Serve as primary contact for questions about treatment plans.
• Prepare and review treatment estimates and verify insurance benefits.
• Coordinate scheduling with providers and front-office staff; track case acceptance and follow up.
