The Treatment Coordinator acts as a liaison between patients, providers, and the front office, ensuring a smooth patient experience from diagnosis to completion of treatment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a dental front office.
• Strong understanding of dental insurance verification and EOB interpretation.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
• Computer proficiency and comfort using practice management software.
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA.
• Knowledge of dental terminology and insurance workflows.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and ensure they feel welcomed on arrival.
• Check patients in and assist with paperwork or updates.
• Answer calls promptly and route messages to the team.
• Review and explain treatment plans, procedures, and timelines.
• Explain dental insurance benefits and estimated patient responsibility.
• Ensure patients understand financial expectations prior to treatment.
• Collect copays, deductibles, and out-of-pocket costs when applicable.
• Coordinate treatment scheduling to support provider productivity and patient needs.
• Verify insurance benefits prior to appointments and update records.
