Job summary

Team Perio in Stockton, CA is seeking a full-time dental assistant to support the surgeon, prep operatory, and ensure patient comfort. You will escort patients, assist with instruments, and maintain meticulous records. A positive team player attitude is essential as is attention to detail.

Qualifications

• CPR and First Aid certification is required.
• Valid X-ray certificate is required.
• Clear communication with patients and team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the operatory and equipment for procedures.
• Greet and escort patients to and from the treatment room.
• Prepare patients for surgery or examination.
• Monitor patient comfort and safety during visits.
• Record treatment information in the patient chart.
• Assist the doctor by passing instruments and aspirating fluids.
• Take radiographs as directed by the doctor.
• Provide post-operative care per doctor’s instructions.
• Coordinate patient flow with team members to ensure smooth visits.
• Keep work areas clean and organized at all times.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the operatory and equipment
• Greet and escort patients to and from the treatment room
• Prepare the patient for surgery or examination
• Maintain awareness of the comfort and safety needs of patients
• Record treatment information in the patient's chart
• Assist the doctor by passing instruments, aspirating intra‑oral fluids, taking photographs
• Take radiographs as directed by the doctor
• Provide post-operative care to patients as directed by doctor
• Communicate with other essential team members to coordinate patient flow and comfort
• Maintain a clean and organized work area

Requirements

Compensation & Benefits

• Wage: $22-28 per hour DOE
• 90-Day Review and wage assessment, with potential of increase
• 32-34 hour work week
• Health Insurance Benefit at 30 days, all other benefits eligible after 90-day probation
• 40 hours Vacation (Accrued Annually) doubles at year 3 of service
• 5 days sick pay per year
• 5 paid holidays
