Job summary

NSCOFS in Skokie, IL is seeking a dental assistant to support the oral surgery team. You will prepare operatory rooms, seat patients, document medical history and consent forms, and help maintain a smooth patient flow.

Responsibilities include sterilizing instruments per OSHA/CDC, restocking supplies, assisting the oral surgeon during procedures, taking and scanning films, and ensuring CPR certification is current.

Qualifications

  • Familiarity with clinical dental assisting duties.
  • CPR certification required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced surgical environment.

Responsibilities

  • Set up rooms for all operative procedures.
  • Turn over room in efficient manner.
  • Seat patients and assist with intake and documentation, including medical history and consent forms.
  • Stock/restock room with instruments prior to each procedure.
  • After each patient, sterilize operatory and instrumentation according to OSHA / CDC standards.
  • Be aware of schedule changes, and other procedures progress in order to prioritize actions.
  • Utilize office equipment by taking and scanning films.
  • Assist Oral Surgeon during treatment procedures.
  • Maintain CPR Certification.

POSITION SUMMARY:
