Job summary

Yale New Haven Health Services Corp. in New Haven, CT, seeks an Instrument Technician to support sterile processing and the decontamination/sterilization workflow within the Dental Department.

The role requires CSPDT certification (or current status) and a high school diploma, plus 2 years of Instrument Technician II/III experience. An LPN license may substitute CST certification. Strong communication and computer skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Maintains CSPDT national certification with current status.
• LPN licensure acceptable in place of CST certification.
• Two years of Instrument Technician II/III experience.
• Knowledge of decontamination/sterilization techniques and familiarity with dental instrumentation.
• Intermediate computer skills; ability to work with providers and clinical teams.

Responsibilities

• Supports and facilitates the sterile processing function and monitors the workflow.
• Facilitates communication between leadership and provides.
• Maintains regulatory records for decontamination and sterilization process.
• Maintains instruments for the Dental Department and Sterile Processing Tray.
• Performs duties according to department and regulatory procedures.
