Job summary

Yale New Haven Health Services Corp. Bridgeport Hospital is seeking a Central Sterile Supply Technician with leadership in CSS. You will assist with teaching and training new staff, perform decontamination, assembly, sterilization and distribution tasks, and ensure quality and timely processing of instrument trays.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent with CSS certification.
Current Sterile Processing Distribution Technician Certification (CBSPD or IAHCSMM).

Responsibilities

Assemble instrumentation for surgical procedures and ensure proper processing and storage.
Prepare case carts using proper pick sheets and quality checks.
Handle dispensing and storage functions with accuracy and courtesy.
Communicate information to supervisor and OR staff.
Perform sterilization per documentation standards and timelines.
Assemble and package instruments in CSS areas according to priority.
Assist with staff training and orientation within CSS.
Provide supervisory assistance to maintain standards and implement changes.
