Job summary

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in medical coding is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Strong communication, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing the administrative tasks that keep our dental practice running smoothly. This role requires a blend of interpersonal skills and administrative expertise, ensuring that patients feel welcomed and cared for from the moment they enter our office.

Duties
  • Spanish speaking , bi-lingual
  • Greet patients warmly and manage their check-in and check-out processes.
  • Schedule appointments and manage the dental calendar efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate patient records while adhering to HIPAA regulations
  • Meticulously verify patient eligibility across all insurance plans
  • Accurately update and maintain dental and medical records
  • Prepare and present comprehensive treatment plans to patients
  • Coordinate and submit prior authorizations with insurance carriers
  • Secure patient co-payments and balances before scheduled procedures
  • Assist with medical coding and billing processes as needed.
  • Handle patient inquiries regarding treatment options, insurance coverage, and office policies.

Experience

Candidates should possess experience as a Dental Receptionist or in a similar role within a healthcare environment. Familiarity with pediatric dentistry or prosthodontics is advantageous. A solid understanding of anatomy knowledge, vital signs, and medical imaging will enhance your effectiveness in this position. Proficiency in medical coding is preferred but not mandatory. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential for success in this role.
