Job summary

Gentle Dental Santa Rosa is seeking a Business Manager to keep the office running smoothly from open to close. You will partner with the Director of Operations and Area Clinical Director to deliver exceptional patient service and foster a positive team culture.

Responsibilities include supervising non-clinical staff, monitoring hours, improving efficiency, and ensuring accurate payroll and invoicing. You will also manage payments, reports, scheduling, claims, and compliance with health

Qualifications

• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Computer literate; QSI/Denticon experience a plus.
• Dental/healthcare management experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain an office environment that ensures optimal patient care and customer service.
• Directly supervise the office team including selection and training of non-clinical staff, monitor hours and approve timesheets.
• Evaluate and review office production and procedures to improve efficiency and profitability.
• Analyze and organize office operations such as bookkeeping, invoicing, payroll and other administrative duties.
• Organize day-to-day operations; schedule staff to support providers, conduct daily huddles.
• Collect payments from patients and follow cash handling policy.
• Review production reports to meet or exceed the budget each month.
• Back up front office tasks: scheduling, answering calls, answering patient questions, presenting treatment plans, claims.
• Address patient complaints promptly and compassionately; handle escalations.
• Be SME on insurance plans accepted by the company; understand limitations and exclusions.
• Recruitment, retention and termination of staff; work with HR on issues.
• Maintain advanced knowledge of software systems for managerial reporting.
• Ensure compliance with state dental laws, safe work environment and company policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
