Position: Patient Care Coordinator (Dental Business Assistant / Receptionist)

We are looking for a motivated and experienced Business Assistant to join our front desk team, where you will play an essential role in providing outstanding service to our patients.

Role Overview:

As a Patient Care Coordinator, you will be the first face our patients see, making your role crucial in setting the tone for their dental experience. You’ll ensure that our patients feel welcomed and comfortable while assisting with essential administrative duties. Our office is patient-centered, and we prioritize learning, teamwork, and excellent care.

Requirements:
  • Experience: Minimum of 6 months in a dental office in a similar role.
  • Language: Fluency in Spanish is a plus
  • Availability: Must be available to work during weekdays and some Saturdays. Shifts start around 8:20am. Office hours are until 6pm during the week and until 4pm on Saturdays.
  • Preferred: Familiarity with Dentrix Ascend and some knowledge of clinical dental procedures is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Patient Interaction: Greet and welcome patients warmly, ensuring they feel comfortable.
  • Administrative Duties:
    1. Schedule appointments, create and present treatment plans, and manage check-in/check-out processes.
    2. Process payments, create insurance claims, and handle pre-authorizations.
    3. Maintain detailed patient records in compliance with HIPAA, using Dentrix Ascend.
  • Patient Education: Provide information about treatments, insurance, and payment options.
  • Insurance and Billing: Assist with insurance breakdowns, process claims, and manage accounts.
  • Communication: Answer calls, respond to inquiries, and ensure clear communication with patients and the clinical team.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with dental providers to ensure smooth workflow, including cross-training in some clinical areas.
