Job summary

Elica Health Centers is seeking a Dental Project Director to lead operational projects that improve dental access, schedule utilization, patient volume, and overall efficiency across the dental program. You will analyze scheduling patterns, identify barriers, and partner with Dental Operations, clinics, Call Center, Outreach, and other teams to boost completed visits.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Public Health, Project Management, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
Experience: ≥3 years in healthcare operations, dental operations, practice management, or patient access.
Knowledge of dental clinic operations, patient flow, scheduling, and capacity management.
Experience with Medi-Cal/Denti-Cal is a plus.

Responsibilities

Monitor dental provider and hygienist schedules across all locations to identify open appointments and capacity.
Develop strategies to maximize schedule utilization and completed dental visits.
Establish processes for filling cancellations and backfilling openings quickly in coordination with multiple teams.
Analyze scheduling patterns by provider, location, and appointment type to identify gaps and improve workflows.
Lead operational improvement projects from identification to evaluation and outcomes.
