Job summary

Castro Valley Advantage Dental in Castro Valley, CA seeks a Director of Operations to lead multi-doctor practice operations, HR, onboarding, and front-office accountability. This on-site, full-time role shapes systems, coaching, and performance across the team while guiding clinical support as needed.

You will develop repeatable workflows, review reports, and ensure patient care runs smoothly with strong financial oversight. Experience in dental management and Open Dental is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience managing people in a dental office or healthcare setting.
• Ability to develop repeatable processes and improve operations.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Comfort with reports, spreadsheets, and dental software.

Responsibilities

• Lead people and department leads, set clear expectations, and manage performance improvements.
• Oversee staffing, HR administration, recruitment, and onboarding.
• Coordinate front-office operations, scheduling, patient communication, insurance and billing workflows.
• Drive projects and systems with clear ownership, deadlines and training.
• Provide financial visibility through reports and metrics, and act on variances with the team.
• Collaborate with clinical leaders on patient flow, supplies, and safety/compliance tasks.
