Gentle Dental - Stockdale in Bakersfield, CA is seeking a skilled Business Manager to keep our office running smoothly from open to close. You will supervise the non-clinical team, manage scheduling, training, timesheets, and ensure compliance with licensing and safety rules.

You will analyze office production and procedures to boost efficiency, accuracy of bookkeeping and payroll, manage insurance claims, patient payments, and collaborate with leadership to meet monthly budgets and deliver

Qualifications

• Preferred: previous dental or healthcare management experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Computer literate; knowledge of dental software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain an office environment that ensures optimal patient care and customer service.
• Directly supervise the office team, oversee training, monitor hours and timesheets.
• Evaluate office production and procedures to improve efficiency and profitability.
• Analyze office operations including bookkeeping, payroll prep and invoicing.
• Organize day-to-day operations, schedule staff, and support providers.
• Manage patient payments and insurance claims per policy.
• Review production reports and help meet monthly budgets.
• Provide front-office backup: scheduling, calls, treatment plans, and inquiries.
• Address patient complaints promptly and compassionately.
• Ensure knowledge of insurance plans, limitations and exclusions.
• Recruit, retain, and address staff issues with HR support.
• Maintain advanced knowledge of software systems for reporting.
