Heartland Dental Elk River (Metro Dentalcare) is seeking a Business Assistant to support the front office in a busy dental practice. You’ll handle scheduling, patient communication, insurance processing, and daily administrative duties to keep operations running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Access to minimum PHI for job functions; HIPAA training required.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients to create a positive first impression.
• Manage front office duties: answer phones, mail, emails, and communicate with patients/insurers.
• Use Dentrix for scheduling and records; schedule and confirm multiple providers.
• File insurance claims and follow up on outstanding claims; verify benefits and coverage.
• Post insurance and patient payments; process accounts receivable.
