LWSS Family Dentistry in Virginia Beach - Red Mill is looking for a Business Assistant to join our team.

Responsibilities
  • Greet and welcome patients as they enter the office to create a positive first impression
  • Manage front office duties: answering phones, checking mail and email, communicating with patients and insurance companies
  • Utilize Dentrix for scheduling and records management
  • Schedule and confirm appointments for multiple providers
  • File insurance claims, follow up on outstanding claims, verify benefits, explain coverage
  • Post insurance and patient payments, process accounts receivable
  • Review treatment plan fees and payment options with patients
  • Partner with providers to implement Heartland Dental systems to optimize office potential

Minimum Qualifications
  • Experience in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to handle PHI with confidentiality, with regular HIPAA training
Preferred Experience
  • 1+ years in dental or medical setting
  • 1+ years in insurance billing and accounts receivable
  • Experience with Dentrix or similar dental software
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Sitting at a desk and working on a computer for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 15 pounds
  • Availability for periodic virtual or in-person training
  • TB test required prior to employment, arranged during pre-employment (not applicable in FL & TN)
