Dental Receptionist - Full Time Position

Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 6:30am-4:40pm and Friday 6:30am-5:30pm | Salary range: $20-$23/Hr, based on experience | Benefits included!

  • Greet and welcome patients to create a positive first impression
  • Manage front office duties: answering phones, checking mail and email, communicating with patients and insurance companies
  • Use Dentrix for scheduling and records
  • Schedule and confirm appointments for multiple providers
  • File insurance claims, follow up on outstanding claims, verify benefits, and explain coverage
  • Post payments and process accounts receivable
  • Review treatment plan fees and payment options with patients
  • Partner with providers to implement Heartland Dental systems effectively

Minimum Qualifications
  • Experience in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Access to minimal PHI for job functions; HIPAA training required; must protect PHI and maintain data security
Preferred Experience
  • 1+ years in dental or medical setting
  • 1+ years in insurance billing and accounts receivable
  • Experience with Dentrix or similar dental software
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to perform duties with or without accommodations; reasonable accommodations available
  • Prolonged sitting and computer work
  • Must lift up to 15 pounds occasionally
  • Availability for periodic virtual or in-person training
  • TB test required prior to employment, except in FL & TN
