Job summary

Virginia Family Dentistry is seeking an experienced Dental Insurance Coordinator to join our Midlothian team. The role verifies and updates insurance information, files claims, and handles pretreatment estimates to keep patient accounts accurate.

• 3 or more years of dental office experience.

• Verify insurance and update patient accounts prior to the appointment.
• Update insurance carrier notes and coverage tables.
• Point of contact for patients and staff on insurance.
• File all insurance claims daily.
• Reconcile insurance claims to patient accounts.
• Work with insurance companies on refunds.
• File all pre-authorizations daily.
• Follow up on pre-authorizations aged 30+ days.
• Coordinate with doctor, hygiene, or specialist coordinator once pre-authorization is received.
• Analyze insurance aged reports (except if that office has centralized insurance).

Job description

Virginia Family Dentistry is looking for an experienced Dental Insurance Coordinator to join our Midlothian-288 team!

Pay range is $20-$25/hour based on experience.

Hours are 8 am-5 pm Monday-Friday.

The Insurance Coordinator verifies and updates insurance information to patient accounts. This role also files claims, completes pretreatment estimates, and follows up with the insurance companies in a timely manner.
