Responsibilities

• Verify insurance and update patient accounts prior to appointments.
• Update insurance carrier notes and coverage tables.
• Serve as point of contact for patients and staff on insurance matters.
• File all insurance claims daily.
• Reconcile insurance claims to patient accounts.
• Coordinate with insurance companies on refunds.
• File all pre-authorizations daily.
• Follow up on pre-authorizations aged 30+ days.
• Coordinate with doctors, hygiene, or specialist coordinators after pre-authorization.
• Analyze insurance aged reports.
