Job summary

SEARHC is seeking a Clinical Informaticist to bridge clinical practice and information technology, ensuring the EHR is used efficiently by staff. The role includes training end users, system maintenance, and identifying opportunities to improve workflows while complying with healthcare standards.

The CI collaborates with clinicians and IT teams to collect requirements, configure systems, and deliver training and support for optimal patient care. On-call rotation may be required.

Qualifications

• 2 years of higher education in healthcare, technology, or related field required; a bachelor's degree preferred.
• Progressively responsible work experience may substitute for college education.
• Informatics, access management and/or training experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing informatics solutions and support existing systems for staff and patients.
• Provide ongoing training and support to healthcare staff for efficient EHR use.
• Develop and deliver educational materials and end-user training sessions.
• Identify and resolve issues related to clinical software applications to minimize disruption.
• Conduct routine system maintenance and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Collaborate with clinicians and IT personnel to tailor informatics solutions.
• Facilitate communication between clinical and technical teams for successful integration.
• Test, implement, and maintain new informatics tools for patient care.
• Assess clinical software performance before and after code changes.
• Execute test cases to ensure thorough evaluation of new functionalities.
• Stay informed on informatics best practices and regulatory requirements.
• May participate in on-call rotations for night/weekend support.
• Other duties as assigned.
