Job summary
SEARHC in Alaska seeks a Clinical Informaticist to connect clinical practice with information technology, ensuring the EHR is used efficiently and effectively by staff.
You will train users, maintain systems, develop educational materials, and collaborate with clinicians and IT to optimize workflows while complying with healthcare standards and regulations.
Occasional on-call rotations for night and weekend support may be required as part of a dedicated regional informatics team.
Qualifications
- Associate degree required; bachelor’s preferred.
- Experience in healthcare informatics and training.
- Clinical work with electronic health records.
Responsibilities
- Assist in implementing informatics solutions and support existing systems.
- Provide ongoing training for staff on the EHR system.
- Develop educational materials and training sessions for end-users.
- Identify and resolve issues in clinical software applications.
- Test and maintain informatics solutions and decision-support tools.
- Stay updated on regulatory requirements and best practices.
- May participate in on-call rotation.
