Job summary

Complete Dental in Connecticut is seeking a part-time dental hygienist to join our caring team. You will perform prophylaxis, patient education, and infection control to ensure high-quality preventive care.

Ideal candidates are licensed RDHs with an associate degree, strong communication skills, and the ability to work Wednesdays and Fridays. Dentrix Ascend experience is a plus; we offer benefits including 401(k), health insurance, paid time off, and retirement plan.

Responsibilities

• Provide dental hygiene services including prophylaxis, scaling and root planing, fluoride and sealants.
• Screen for disease with oral cancer checks and gum assessment.
• Select materials/equipment based on patient oral health needs.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and postoperative care.
• Document vital signs, histories and chart in patient records.
• Sterilize dental instruments and maintain sterilization protocols.
• Take X-rays as indicated by ADA guidelines.

Currently, we are looking for a Part-time Dental Hygienist to join our family. Candidate should have a strong work-ethic and be a team player. Recent graduates are welcomed!

Specific job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Perform dental hygiene services and procedures, including dental prophylaxis, scaling and root planning, application of fluoride and sealants


• Detect disease by completing oral cancer screening; feeling and visually examining gums, using probes to locate periodontal disease and to assess levels of recession


• Selection of materials and equipment for dental hygiene visit by evaluating patient’s oral health


• Educate patients by giving oral hygiene and plaque control instructions and postoperative instructions


• Document dental hygiene services by recording vital signs, medical and dental histories, and charting in patient charts


• Sterilization of equipment


• Take x-rays as necessary and as recommended by the ADA
