Job summary

Community Dental Care in Crystal, MN is seeking a full-time Licensed Dental Assistant (LDA) to join our clinical team and provide high-quality dentistry along with an exceptional patient experience. You will perform comprehensive dental care, assist with radiographs, charting, nitrous, sealants, and restorations under supervision, while supporting culturally diverse patients.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited dental assisting program.
• MN dental assisting licensure or pending licensure.
• CPR/AED certification.
• Experience with culturally diverse communities preferred.
• Proficiency in a second language preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive dental care with focus on patient health needs.
• Complete preliminary charting; take vital signs and radiographs.
• Polish crowns, take impressions, etch enamel, apply sealants, and place/remove rubber dam.
• Remove sutures and periodontal dressings; place cotton pellets and temporary materials.
• Under supervision, administer nitrous oxide and monitor patients.
• Perform restorative procedures and cement stainless steel crowns.

Join our team in Crystal as a full-time Licensed Dental Assistant (LDA)! Our LDA’s serve as integral members of the clinical team in providing high quality and caring dentistry as well as an exceptional patient experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive dental care with a focus on the health needs of the patients
• Complete preliminary charting of the oral cavity and surrounding structures; take vital signs, and radiographs
• Perform mechanical polishing to clinical crowns, take impressions and a bite registration, etch appropriate enamel surfaces, apply and adjust pit and fissure sealants, place and remove rubber dam, place temporary fillings and recement intact temporary restorations
• Remove sutures, place and remove periodontal dressings, place cotton pellets and temporary restorative materials
• Under supervision, administer nitrous oxide inhalation anesthesia and monitor patient
• Perform restorative procedures such as placing, contouring, and adjusting amalgam and composite restorations, and adapting and cementing stainless steel crowns

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited dental assisting program
• Dental Assisting licensure in MN (or pending licensure)
• CPR/AED certification
• Experience working with culturally diverse communities preferred
• Proficiency in a second language preferred

Crystal Clinic Hours

• Monday-Thursday 7:20am-3:30pm
• Friday 7:20am-2:30pm
