Job summary

Lightwave Dental Management LLC in Front Royal, VA is looking for a Full-Time Scheduling Coordinator to keep the dental hygienists’ schedules full and productive while ensuring a friendly, smooth patient experience.

You will book, confirm, reschedule, and optimize daily hygiene appointments, recall overdue patients, and assist with front-desk tasks. A high school diploma and dental software experience are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year of administrative or clinical dental office experience preferred.
• Experience with dental practice management software (Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Open Dental) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedule Management: Book, confirm, reschedule, and optimize daily hygiene appointments to prevent gaps and downtime.
• Recall & Reactivation: Contact overdue or unscheduled patients via phone, email, or text to bring them in for routine cleanings and checkups.
• Department Communication: Coordinate with hygienists and dentists to monitor treatment plans, accommodate emergencies, and adjust chair flow.
• Patient Education & Onboarding: Explain preventive care and upcoming appointments to patients.
• Administrative Tasks: Update EHRs, verify insurance or treatment estimates, and assist front desk duties as needed.
