Cape Cod Community College is seeking a Dental Hygiene instructor to provide clinical instruction to students in the Dental Hygiene Program. The role requires participation in calibration and team meetings.

  • Strong skills in supportive communication and guiding students to develop and demonstrate correct techniques.
  • Experience utilizing digital radiography and computerized dental management software.

Job Description:
GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide clinical instruction to students in the Dental HygieneProgram. Position requires participation in calibration and teammeetings.

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:
  1. Uses established calibration protocol to evaluate studentperformance of clinical skills and related practice procedurespertaining to radiography and office management software.
  2. Weekly team meetings.
  3. Monthly program faculty meeting.
  4. Curriculum/calibration meetings, as scheduled.
Requirements:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  1. Graduate of an accredited dental hygiene program / registereddental hygienist.
  2. Current Massachusetts Dental Hygiene License.
  3. Current Massachusetts Local Anesthesia Permit L.
  4. Bachelor's degree in Dental Hygiene or closely relatedfield.
  5. Strong clinical experience in dental hygiene.
  6. Strong skills in supportive communication and guiding students to develop and demonstrate correct techniques.
  7. Experience utilizing digital radiography and computerized dental management software.
ADDITIONAL PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  1. Instructional experience in an academic or clinical setting.
  2. Willingness to learn academic software to assess/evaluate student performance.

COMPENSATION
