Job summary

Riccobene Associates Family Dentistry is hiring a Hygiene Assistant in North Carolina to support one or two hygienists. You’ll greet and seat patients, take vitals, perform radiographs, and help with charting and treatment discussions.

You’ll prepare operatories, maintain infection control, and assist in scheduling and case acceptance in a fast-paced team setting. You’ll also help with patient financing explanations and ensure the hygiene schedule runs smoothly, while staying organized and

Qualifications

• Excellent patient interaction and ability to explain treatment options to patients clearly
• Strong teamwork with hygienists and front-office staff to maintain schedule
• Ability to stay organized in a fast-paced dental office

Responsibilities

• Greet and seat patients, review and update medical histories, and take vital signs
• Take radiographs and intraoral photos
• Record periodontal charting and clinical notes as the hygienist dictates
• Prepare and turnover operatories, including cleaning, disinfecting, and setting up trays
• Sterilize instruments and maintain infection control standards
• Provide oral hygiene instructions to patients
• Review treatment plans with patients, explain costs and financing options
• Help schedule recommended treatment and support case acceptance
• Keep the hygiene schedule on time and support the team during busy days
• Perform other duties within NC regulations for dental assistants
