Job summary

Cambridge Dental Group in Dearborn Heights, MI, is seeking an experienced Patient Coordinator to join our busy front office team.

You will welcome patients, schedule appointments, verify insurance, submit claims, collect payments, and coordinate referrals in a fast-paced environment. A 1+ year dental office experience is required; Open Dental knowledge is a plus. We offer competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of dental office experience required.
• Experience with dental insurance verification, claims, and billing.
• Knowledge of PPO and Medicaid insurance is a plus.
• Open Dental experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and provide a warm, professional experience from check-in to check-out.
• Schedule and coordinate patient appointments and treatment.
• Coordinate referrals and complex treatment schedules.
• Verify dental insurance benefits and eligibility.
• Submit and follow up on insurance claims.
• Collect patient payments and explain financial policies.
• Follow up on outstanding patient balances.
• Maintain accurate patient records and appointment information.
• Communicate with clinical team members to ensure a smooth patient experience.
• Help keep the front office running efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
