Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
• Ability to multi-task at the same time prioritizes assignments and responsibilities to ensure deadlines.
• Operate computer systems and basic competence with electronic health record practice management software.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service by greeting patients and maintaining a positive reception area.
• Check-in/out patients and update demographics, scan IDs, collect insurance information.
• Schedule visits, verify appointments, and manage referrals and records in the EHR.
• Handle no-shows, reschedules, and emergencies to optimize provider efficiency.
• Assist Billing with patient charges and respond to billing questions.
• Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA policies.
• Participate in staff meetings and community health programs as needed.
