Job summary

The Practice Mechanic, LLC is hiring a dependable dental front office professional in Lakewood, CO to be the first point of contact for patients and help deliver an exceptional experience.

In this role you will greet patients, manage check-in/out, schedule appointments, verify insurance, and handle payments while maintaining HIPAA-compliant records. A 3-5 year background in dental admin is preferred and Open Dental experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in a dental front office, receptionist, or administrative role.
• Strong organizational, multitasking, and communication skills.
• Ability to verify insurance benefits and manage patient accounts.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and assist with check-in and check-out processes.
• Schedule appointments and manage schedule updates.
• Coordinate appointment reminders and follow-up visits.
• Maintain accurate patient records, digital forms, treatment notes, and insurance information while ensuring HIPAA compliance.
• Answer incoming calls, respond to inquiries, and coordinate with clinical and administrative teams.
• Verify insurance benefits, obtain pre-authorizations when required, and communicate coverage details to patients.
• Collect payments, reconcile daily transactions, and assist with account collections.
• Utilize dental practice management software (Open Dental experience preferred).
• Assist with tracking and ordering office and dental supplies.
• Follow HIPAA guidelines, office policies, and quality standards.
