Job summary

Lakewood Complete Dentistry in Colorado is seeking a dependable dental front office professional who will greet patients, manage check-in/check-out, schedule appointments, and coordinate reminders to deliver an exceptional patient experience.

You will verify insurance benefits, obtain pre-authorizations when required, handle payments and maintain accurate records in Open Dental. A friendly, professional demeanor and strong organization are essential for success in our patient-centered team.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3–5 years of experience in a dental front office, receptionist, or administrative role.
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and communication skills.
  • Ability to verify insurance benefits and manage patient accounts.
  • Open Dental software experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and insurance processes.
  • Understanding of infection control protocols and PPE requirements.
  • Self-motivated team player with strong problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients and assist with check-in and check-out processes.
  • Schedule appointments and manage schedule updates.

  • Maintain accurate patient records, digital forms, treatment notes, and insurance information while ensuring HIPAA compliance.
  • Answer incoming calls, respond to inquiries, and coordinate with clinical and administrative teams.

  • Collect payments, reconcile daily transactions, and assist with account collections.
  • Utilize dental practice management software (Open Dental experience preferred).
  • Assist with tracking and ordering office and dental supplies.
  • Follow HIPAA guidelines, office policies, and quality standards.
