Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) is seeking a Patient Service Representative to handle front-desk duties, patient registration, scheduling, and payments in the Dental Teaching Clinic. You will work closely with students and faculty to deliver quality service while maintaining accurate EHR documentation.

Position emphasizes strong customer service, adherence to policies, and efficient, courteous interaction with patients and internal staff in a day shift environment.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED required; 2 years related work experience; bachelor's degree may substitute.
• Experience with front-desk duties in a medical setting preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Understand and follow MUSC Standards of Behavior and complete annual training.
• Manage patient registrations: update demographics, collect signatures, verify insurance.
• Schedule patient appointments using EHR; confirm unbooked slots by phone; document notes.
• Collect and reconcile payments; post in EHR; provide receipts; discuss financial responsibilities.
• Answer incoming calls for the clinic via Avaya; manage referrals; keep reception neat.
• Assist in scheduling, patient care, and quality assurance tasks for faculty and students; support attendance.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
