Job summary

FHCCGLA is seeking a Dental Director (D.D.S.) to oversee clinical practices, regulatory compliance, safety and standards of care within the dental department. You will supervise Dental staff (R.D.A and D.A.), provide direction, and ensure high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities include developing clinic policies, training staff, managing schedules, ensuring HIPAA compliance, and coordinating with operations to optimize patient flow.

Qualifications

• DDS degree and valid CA dentistry license.
• 3–5 years hands-on dentistry experience.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
• Excellent writing and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of administrative principles and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on patient care as scheduled each week.
• Develop and implement clinic policies; guide staff to ensure high standards.
• Train new professional staff and evaluate performance.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and proper use of EHR/PMS systems.
• Manage patient scheduling and flow; address bottlenecks.
• Represent FHCCGLA in meetings and community events.
