Job summary

iRecruitmd seeks an experienced Dentist to provide high-quality clinical care while leading dental services across multiple locations. The Dental Director will balance direct patient care with administrative leadership, ensuring quality standards, staff support, and effective delivery of oral health services.

The role combines Staff Dentist duties with oversight of operations, staffing, quality assurance, and performance initiatives.

Qualifications

• DDS or DMD from a U.S.-accredited dental school.
• Current and unrestricted license to practice dentistry in Michigan.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience practicing as a Dentist in a group setting.
• DEA registration and current BLS certification.
• Strong analytical, administrative, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to manage dental staff and oversee day-to-day operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical dental services as a Staff Dentist.
• Maintain standards of dental care delivery across all locations and programs.
• Monitor performance activities including patient access and referrals.
• Oversee staffing needs and coverage for dental locations.
• Conduct and oversee chart audits related to quality assurance and program objectives.
• Lead dental provider, staff, and administrative meetings.
• Represent the dental program on Quality Improvement and Safety Committees.
• Develop relationships with community organizations and educational institutions.
• Attend local and out-of-town training opportunities and meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
