Job summary

UCSF Dental Center is seeking a Dental Center Clinics Manager to lead administrative, fiscal, HR and quality outcomes for the Dental Center clinics. This role works closely with Dental Center leadership to develop standards of care, ensure cost-effective delivery of care, and spearhead innovative projects for program improvements.

The manager will engage staff, develop talent, and promote continuous learning while collaborating with School of Dentistry leadership to advance quality strategies

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Education or related area.
• 7-10 years relevant progressive experience and/or equivalent combination of experience and training.
• Prior supervisory experience, prior experience in managing a clinical enterprise or unit
• Previous dental billing experience in managed care setting
• Clinic/center management experience, with progressive expertise in practice management, scheduling, customer-service methods, incident reporting, regulatory compliance, accreditation requirements, and information technology
• Proven ability to organize, manage multiple priorities, and delegate work functions efficiently
• Demonstrated managerial skills and human resources management knowledge, including staff deployment, resource utilization, budgeting and financial management, quality improvement, and program planning and implementation
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communications skills to convey complex information, instructions, and guidelines in a clear, concise, and specific manner
• Knowledge of healthcare and clinic operations information technology, including billing systems and patient care workflows
• Demonstrated knowledge of regulatory requirements, accreditation, licensing, and compliance environments
• Demonstrated project management skills and ability to meet deadlines
• Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times
• Expertise in MS Excel, Word and similar computer applications

Responsibilities

• Manage operations of healthcare clinic(s) or center(s) to include fiscal, human resources, and practice management operations.
• Oversee administrative and day-to-day operations in the Dental Center.
• Collaborate with Dental Center leadership to advance quality strategies and ensure timely services and patient satisfaction.
