Job summary

The University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) invites applications for the Dental Center Clinics Manager role within UCSF Dental Center. This position oversees administrative, fiscal, HR, and quality outcomes across the dental clinics, working with leadership to deliver high-quality, cost-effective care.

You will implement standards of care, develop staff, manage budgets, and lead process improvements while ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Education or related area and 7-10 years relevant progressive experience and/or equivalent combination of experience/training.
• Prior supervisory experience managing a clinical enterprise or unit.
• Previous dental billing experience in managed care setting.
• Clinic/center management experience with practice management, scheduling, customer-service, incident reporting, regulatory compliance, accreditation requirements, and information technology.
• Demonstrated ability to organize, manage multiple priorities, and delegate work functions efficiently.
• Managerial and human resources management knowledge, including staffing, budgeting, quality improvement, and program planning/implementation.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communications skills to convey complex information clearly and persuasively.
• Knowledge of healthcare/clinic operations IT, including billing systems and patient care workflows.

Responsibilities

• Implements and monitors the financial process for clinic performance, including revenues, costs, trends, and reimbursements.
• Manages the clinical and operational functions and staff.
• Allocates staff, space, and equipment to optimize delivery of clinical services.
• Implements quality improvement systems.
• Ensures compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
• Leads facilities expansion, satellite development, and staffing proposals.
• Recruits, evaluates, disciplines, and develops staff.
