Job summary

PDS Health in Round Rock, TX seeks a Healthcare Coordinator to partner with dentists and help patients commit to necessary treatment, guiding them through financial options and addressing common objections. You will support daily schedules, participate in huddles, and uphold the Perfect Patient Experience and Patients for Life while maintaining confidentiality and professional standards.

This role requires strong communication, organizational skills, and ability to explain insurance

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Travel between offices may be required.
• Preference for coursework or on-the-job training in dentistry, insurance, or business.
• Knowledge of office practices and patient insurances.
• Ability to multi-task and maintain confidentiality of patient records.
• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Models company culture, values, standards, and best operational practices.
• Gain a financial commitment from the patient to start the dentistry that the Dentist is diagnosing.
• Achieve proficiency in PDS system and tools to assist patients in making the best possible decision.
• Executes the HC Handoff with clinicians on every exam patient.
• Subject Matter Expert on financial options to give patients choices to start dentistry that fits their budget.
• Overcome common patient objections to starting treatment.
• Obtain necessary insurance pre-authorizations for patients who need this prior to completing treatment.
• Ensure the office demonstrates the Comprehensive Care Model and referrals outside the office.
• Active participant in daily morning huddles, monthly team meetings and other required meetings.
• Demonstrates stewardship of the PDS Brand and aligns with brand framework.
• Becomes knowledgeable on Mouth Body Connection and supports clinical excellence.
• Maintains professional appearance and demeanor per company policies; addresses others professionally.
• Ensures Compliance with Company policies and regulatory bodies.
• Other duties as assigned.
